SEQUERI
Sequeri is a group project of an annual magazine on the theme of Identity. The name comes from ‘Si Quaeris miracula’, the first verse of the prayer to be recited 13 times to Saint Anthony in order to receive his intercession and find lost objects and oneself: a research in the material sphere, but at the same time intimate and poetic. People have repeated the prayer for centuries to the point of changing its Latin word into today’s formula, Sequeri. Following the process in 13 sections, Sequeri investigates the relationship between material culture and identity. Beginning with a more analytical approach, it tells about accumulations of lost objects, apparently devoid of stories and belonging, arriving at a more ethereal, intimately poetic dimension. The first number is set in the city of Milan, 12 others city will follow.
